Even thought the Allman Brothers Band is no more… It would be awesome to see Gregg Allman and Dickie Betts perform those classics together again!
There seems to be 2 definitive sides that fans have taken with regard to the Allman/Betts feud… but for the sake of some of the greatest Southern Rock ever sung…
I’m glad they’re fixin’ to get ta fixin’!

The Rolling Stones released the US version of their 3rd album… and it contained what is arguably The Greatest Rock Single Ever! “(I Can’t get No) Satisfaction”
Hard to believe it was 50 years ago in 1965, that “Out Of Our Heads” hit shelves here Stateside… It was the first Stones album I remember playing on my nasty lil’ Fischer-Price portable rekkerd player!
Who’d have thought back then that they would STILL be kickin’ it live on tour… and having a blast doing it!

Sure, Arnel Pineda sounds amazing fronting Journey right now… but it just ain’t Steve Perry! I remember back in the late 70’s, on his way to visit his parents in Hanford, California… Steve Perry would stop by the little Fresno radio station I worked at, knock on the door and say “Hey! you playin’ my record yet??” Both he and Neal Schon helped us with promotions & interviews… and they really LIKED each other then!
I know this has been a back-and-forth deal for some time now… but stop teasing us, get on the phone, kiss and make up and [More]

This is a great story…
First, I have to say that this wouldn’t have been possible were it not for the unceasing efforts of an old friend of mine, and a former local Atlanta musician, Mark Noah. I met him in the 90’s when he was frontman for the Atlanta-based band, “The Anti-Heroes”. Mark is anything but an anti-hero… in fact, he’s given many, MANY heroes a chance to come home and posthumously tell their stories.
Thanks to Mark and his organization, 36 Marines who died fighting on Tarawa in World War 2 finally made it back home. They were received [More]

The late Richard Wright of Pink Floyd would have been 72 today… The keyboard master helped give “progressive rock” it’s progressive sound!

The Rock World can now rest easy….
Billy Joel and Elton John have kissed and made up. E.J. got a little “bitchy” when he called out B.J. during a rehab stint after their tandem tour in 2009, and recently they had a battle going about which one could play the most shows at Madison Square Garden in NYC… (Billy beat Elton and got a nifty banner)

One of the greatest (and most underrated) guitarists is heading back out this fall!
THE most likeable member of The Eagles, Joe Walsh announced the dates for his fall solo tour.
No Georgia dates… yet!

This Weekend is the 35th Anniversary of AC/DC’s SECOND debut album… Back In Black! The first AC/DC album with Brian Johnson as their new lead singer. The only other band that’s had equal success with another frontman is Van Halen… I thought it was so prophetic that the late Bon Scott literally picked his predecessor… Once saying that if he ever left, “Geordie” lead singer Brian Johnson should step in… and man, did he ever!

Considering how much fun these guys had on stage at Bobby Dodd… This could be a pretty damn good album!

Got a sneak-peek at the new final releases of the Led Zeppelin deluxe reissues…
On the “Coda”s reissue… we found this great nugget for Led Zeppelin fans…
