DUNBAR, W.Va. — A middle school in West Virginia was placed on lockdown Tuesday after police said a man walked in and demanded to be allowed to sing Justin Bieber songs to students over the intercom, according to WTOV.
Police told WTOV that they were tipped off Monday that a man wanted to come to Dunbar Middle School to sing to the students. The man had apparently not taken his prescribed medicine, police said.
The man entered the school and went into the main office during the morning announcements, and said that he wanted to sing songs by Bieber to the students.
The school was placed on a precautionary lockdown.
An officer placed at the school responded to the scene and took the man into custody.
According to WTOV, the man was charged with simple possession of a small amount of marijuana and was issued a citation.
