Remembering another Palmer this morning…

On This Day back in 2003…  Robert Palmer died of a heart attack in Paris.

You probably first heard his stuff back in the late 70’s with “Bad Case of Loving You (Doctor Doctor)” and “Lookin’ for Clues” but it was in the early 80’s when he teamed up with a couple of Durannies and a disco drummer to form The Power Station when he found his fame!

The Power Station gave us the drivin’ beats that would lay the foundation for his most memorable songs, both containing the now iconic background girls from the Terrance Donovan-directed videos for “Simply Irresistible” and “Addicted To Love”!

The girls’ images were taken from those popular 80’s art prints by Patrick Nagel… admit it… you had one!

Check out Robert with “Palmer’s Posse”… enjoy.
